"Hey...rememberthat shine in our eyes?"
That's when we tied this band of friendship
We had this tag 'friends'
Years passed by...

I remember it was my birthday
And that tag wasn't just 'friends'
She was now my best friend
Scolded each other also consoled
We're behaving like each other's moms

"Hey...remember those long calls?"
Called for literally no reason
Yet hours used to pass by like seconds
Talked no important thing
But behaved as if there was nothing more essential

Though we chose different  ways in life
We shielded our friendship
Me admiring your childishness
You teasing me
Us fighting
And unknowingly becoming soulmates

Oh those late night calls
Us simping
I miss all that
I miss you
Now we're strangers again
Yes, she "was" my best friend

That four-legged comfort Though quiet Could understand and be understood. Made me smile the brightest.  A moment with him, enough to forget all blue. End to the desertedness, I thought But now can't fill the void you've left. Those eyes filled with magic, no one can replace. Gaiety snatched, I'm in chaos Spiraling, inexorably. I also want to be the main character For whom everyone drools. I would walk and the time stops. I want to do the things they show in the movies! I wanna do it all.
